An education in lies
Life has a realism of it’s own.
People do die, of old age or disasters, humans have sex or use strong language when they hit their thumb with a hammer.
So why the blind eyes? There is always grime under your nails!
I’m talking about censorship.
Read a thread about a company in the good old USA, who now made it possible to edit your movies and cut out the fucks or the sweaty moaning human flesh. (Didn’t your parent moan when they made you?)
So now everyone can make a Little House out of Apocalypse now, and show it to your 6 year old. “Look, honey, this was the Vietnam War. Some soldiers got hurt, but they would never use The Bad Words.”
Why this way of protecting kids is perceived as so necessary in a country that is selling Freedom as their biggest export product is beyond me.
It is a lie you tell your own blood.
There is no safeguard in life.
Shit happens.
Better teach kids that, so they can get up again when their little world is shocked.
Teach them truths, not looking away.

I know. It's awful. I'm ashamed of my country in so many way, so many times. I never understood the censorship/freedom thing.
Thanks for your comment on my husband's blog- we're grateful for all of the readers. Tell all of your Dutch friends- we're going global! :)
Best of luck- I'm looking forward to reading more of what you write.
